We offer the following Advanced IVF Treatments at Global IVF & Fertility Center :
In Vitro Fertilization – In vitro fertilization or IVF is a form of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART). It is a process in which sperm from the male and eggs from the females are extracted and fused together to form an embryo in a controlled environment in the laboratory. After the embryo’s creation, it is transferred to the uterus with great expertise.
Why IVF is done?
Fallopian tube blockage or damage – This makes it difficult for the egg to be fertilized or for an embryo to plant into the uterus.
Uterine fibroids – This is most common in the age 30-40 in women. They are basically tumors on the wall of the uterus which interfere with the implantation of the fertilized egg.
Endometriosis – Endometriosis is when the uterine tissue (endometrium) which is supposed to be lining the inside of the uterus grows outside instead.
Ovulation disorders – If ovulation is not taking place frequently or absent, there will be no eggs for fertilization.
Genetic disorders – If it is known to the couple that either of them has any kind of genetic problems, they are advised to take a Preimplantation genetic diagnosis (PGD) in which the embryo is screened for any type of genetic issues before implantation.
Unexplained fertility – In this, the main cause of infertility is not defined.
Endoscopic procedures: Endoscopy is a process in which the doctor can examine the insides of the organs to find out all the possible causes for infertility. The most common types of endoscopy are –
Hysteroscopy – It is a process in which the interior of the uterus is examined using a fiber optic light source and a camera. This test reveals any physical abnormality in the uterus that may be a reason for your infertility.
Laparoscopy – This is a form of surgery in which a camera is inserted to see abnormalities in the reproductive organs of a woman which can be a cause of infertility in females.
Conventional IVF: Conventional IVF is a process that is recommended for women who have had failed pregnancies even after an IUI treatment. The normal conventional IVF consists of the following steps –
- Stimulation of the ovaries by the use of drugs increases the number of eggs released.
- Retrieval of the eggs from the ovaries through aspiration
- Fertilization of the eggs and the sperm in vitro for healthy growth in a controlled environment
- Embryo culture to keep the cells growing well before getting transferred to the uterus
- Transfer of the embryo into the uterus for the remaining growth
Natural Cycle IVF: Natural cycle IVF is a process where a normally harvested egg is used for fertilization. This process basically uses very less drugs and continues normally without any stimulation of the ovaries. The process cannot be called drug-free, but very few medications are involved during this process.
Pros of Natural Cycle IVF :
- Reduce the chance of multiple pregnancies – Since, there is only one embryo produced so that automatically eliminates the chances of multiple pregnancies.
- Eliminates the expenses involved during pregnancy – As there are very fewer medications involved the cost is cut down, unlike other IVF procedures.
- Reduces the chances of side effects or complications resulting from drugs – Drugs used during this process are very less, hence, lowering the risks involved due to drug use.
IVF Lite: IVF lite or mini IVF is a process very similar to natural IVF. In this process also the medications involved are very less and therefore, the risks involved are also very less. In this, the naturally processed eggs are used rather than the stimulated egg. Even though the success rate in Mini IVF is less, people generally prefer this type of IVF method as it is noninvasive and nonexpensive.
Segmented IVF: In segmented IVF cycles, the embryo transfer is not done in a freshly stimulated IVF cycle. No fresh embryo is used in this type of IVF cycle; cryopreserved embryos are used instead. Segmented IVF eliminates a lot of shortcomings that occur during the normal IVF process. The embryo survival rate at Global IVF Fertility Center is more than 96%, hence, no embryo is lost.
ICSI: Intracytoplasmic sperm injection or ICSI is a process of inserting the sperm directly into the egg. ICSI is a typical process involved with male infertility. ICSI is considered a successful method as the sperm injection is direct and the pre fertility treatment steps are bypassed. It is designed to overcome male fertility issues like low sperm count, poor motility of the sperm, etc.
Frozen Embryo transfer: In this process, the embryos produced from a previous IVF cycle are preserved and used after thawing. There is no need for hormonal stimulation or egg collection. During an IVF cycle, more than one embryo is created and frozen in suitable conditions. The success rates for frozen embryo transfer are equal to that of the fresh embryos.
